Website Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: July 30, 2026
Custom Maid Books is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all visitors, regardless of ability or the technology used to access the internet. We want everyone to have a welcoming and inclusive experience on our site.
Our Commitment
We aim to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
Improvements We Have Made
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Following an accessibility review completed in 2026, we have made a range of improvements across the site, including:
- Strengthening color contrast for text, links, and buttons so content is easier to read.
- Restoring a clearly visible keyboard focus indicator, so people navigating by keyboard can always see where they are on the page.
- Adding descriptive labels to links and navigation controls.
- Adding proper page landmarks, so people using assistive technology can move directly to the main content.
- Converting promotional graphics on our homepage from pictures of text into standard, resizable text.
- Correcting the page heading structure to make the site easier to navigate.
- Improving the keyboard order of interactive controls.
We continue to evaluate our website and implement further improvements as part of our regular development process.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, a small number of items are still being addressed. In particular, one legacy promotional graphic on our homepage presents its text as part of an image. This graphic includes a text alternative, so the information it conveys is available to people using screen readers, and we are working to replace it with standard text. If you come across any content that is difficult to access, please contact us using the details below and we will be glad to help.
Compatibility
Our website is designed to work with current versions of the major browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge, and with common screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.

Disclaimer
