CLIMATE CHANGE
Chapter four of Backspin, deals with critical threats facing humanity – climate change, pandemics, and the “new normal.” It looks at how the Covid-19 pandemic, in no small part brought about by climate change, changed our lifestyles, awareness, and brought about the new normal, which is still clearly unfolding…
The source of the Covid-19 outbreak– Wuhan, or elsewhere–lab or nature– is closely scrutinized and concludes it is a lab leak, as there is no evidence of animal to human transmission.
The changing lifestyles and hobbies staycationers are taking-up, from hiking and kayaking by city-slickers in Hong Kong, to mass rallies, be they on two-feet, or two-wheels by city-slickers and good-ol’-boys in America represent this evolving new norm.
The role of trees as critical carbon-tanks for carbon sources we must get rid of if humanity is to survive is closely analyzed.

Chapter four points out how the U.S. and China can cooperate on climate, space, and other mutually beneficial co-operative programs, as they stop building additional barriers, and start breaking-down existing ones.
