Fear mongering has become the tool and weapon of both the Democratic and Republican parties in their determination to out-wave each other in next week’s mid-term elections. The Democrats want to make sure the blue wave drowns out the red wave and vis-a-versa. Fear is what is stirring up the momentum to get apathetic voters in both parties to the polls to ensure their respective waves roll into Congress and drown-out the opposition.
Trump mongering by candidates in both parties has dominated the red and blue surges in political pitches.
President Trump is being blamed by many, especially Democrats, for creating the fear permeating the mid-term elections. The premeditated deadliest anti-Semitic massacre in American history of 11 Jews while they prayed last Sabbath, and the mailing of explosive devices by a Trump devotee to Trump critics, that included former and current Democratic office holders, political commentators, activists and CNN, only magnified and crystalized the fear that has taken root in America.
I am currently writing my sixth book titled Custom Maid Fear for New World Disorder and cannot believe how overwhelmed I am with material and evidence documenting how fear has been implanted and exploited in the American psyche by career politicians in both parties. They have not only paralyzed Washington D.C. with their divisive fear mongering — but the nation as a whole!
2018 reminds me of 1968. The fear generated by the Vietnam War protests, Civil Rights movement, summer of love and assassinations of Dr. Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy.
The toxic environment of political poison is killing America. The unprecedented hatred spewed and violence — with or without guns and explosive devices — is taking America down a road it has been before and doesn’t want to go down again. It leads to civil war.
America survived 1968 and will hopefully survive 2018.
Are there no limits of decency and shamelessness anymore? Where has our collective common sense gone? The inflammatory fear and lies being spewed in political television commercials is not only defamatory, but criminal. Any wonder people around the world are questioning democracy and democratic values? Any wonder authoritarian figures who ruthlessly quash or propose quashing freedoms of speech are winning elections around the world, last Sunday’s election in Brazil being the latest example?
The examples of shameless behavior are too numerous to mention. Suffice it to say, the fallout of the Russia probe, Brett Kavanagh nomination process, birthright citizenship, immigration, caravans of immigrants, health care, gun control, racism, and anti-Semitism, that started in Charlottesville, Va., with neo-Nazi chants “Jews will not replace us” that led to the Sabbath Massacre in Pittsburg, was preceded by Texas Democratic Congressman Joaquin Castro’s theory, shared on CNN, that Jared Kushner orchestrated the killing of Jamal Khashoggi by putting his name on a “hit list” submitted to the Saudis. Really? How much lower do we have to go to win?
Yes, granted Trump has capitalized on and contributed to the fear that existed in America during the 2016 presidential campaign and since he became president. But he did not create the fear. It was already there and he rode the wave of fear into the White House and hopes to do the same with the red wave in next Tuesday’s mid-term elections.
But so are the Democrats with their determination to get a blue wave to drown the reds in D.C.
The fear of losing is what is driving both party’s messages of fear. Republicans afraid of losing the majorities they now hold in Congress and the Democrats afraid they may fail to win a majority in either the House of Representatives or Senate.
Regardless of what color wave prevails next week, it is time America come together again and unite as a nation. Trump mongering must end and it is up to our Commander in Chief, President Trump, to lead the charge!
