The justified criticism of President Trump’s performance at his disruptive wrecking ball press conference with President Putin in Helsinki on Monday — and the political fire storms that followed — overlooked and downplayed what “big results will come” out of the Summit and President Trump’s “biggest deal” strategy to bring peace to the Middle East.
America, Israel and Russia (“AIR”) are triangulating Iran! Economically, militarily and by all other means.
President Putin met with Prime Minister Netanyahu a few days before his meeting with Trump.
“Working with Israel is a great thing and creating safety for Israel is something both Putin and I would like to see very much,” Trump said at the Helsinki press conference.
Putin hammered home his agreement by signaling a return to the protocols that ended the 1973 Yom Kippur War, as his answer to Netanyahu’s lobbying for Russia to ensure that Iran removes its fighting forces, Hezbollah and other proxies from Syria. Putin emphasized the need to “uphold the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement between Israel and Syria.”
Military cooperation between the American and Russian armed forces, is much better than the civilian diplomatic side — including on the diplomatic frontfollowing the mutual diplomatic expulsions — a point made by both Presidents Trump and Putin, and also downplayed or ignored by mainstream media.
America-Russia tactics in Syria have been dominated by U.S. and Russia militaries. A critical “connective tissue” to navigate the crowded Syrian military sky and avoid an unnecessary accident that could lead to war, as both countries support opposing sides. Throw in the Israeli air force that is targeting Iranian military assets and personnel into the mix and the AIR picture starts coming into focus. Especially, after Israel recently disclosed details of its Iran raid that (1)recovered documents and discs that proved Iran lied for years in claiming it didn’t have a nuclear weapons program; and (2) disclosed the location of a secret explosives-testing facility that international inspectors had long searched for in vain.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Joe Dunford, and his Russian counterpart, Valery Gerasimov, met in June for the third time in Helsinki, to prep and lay the groundwork for the politicians and diplomats at the Trump-Putin Summit.
To nix the Russian support of the Iran Nuclear deal and choke Iran in its neighborhood and globally. Choke its oil exports and global trade. Re-impose painful economic sanctions — in addition to political and military ultimatums. Add Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Gulf States and Turkey’s supporting military and financial roles to the various political and military factions — in some cases in conflict with the U.S. side — but all of whom want to get rid of President Bashar al-Assad, and would have succeeded but for Russia’s involvement and support to preserve its military and naval bases there.
Removal of Iran from Syria is the AIR triangulation — and peace in the Middle East is what the AIR Axis and their regional supporters want — and hopefully achieve. If they do, it is a big deal.
