Shake & Bake Trump Style

Disruption is Trump’s middle name. He displayed it during the Republican presidential primary when his shake and bake style rattled his opponents into the history books of losers. He did a rerun of his shake & bake style and strategy in the presidential election against Clinton. She went on to write a book and blame Russian interference—among many other reasons—for her loss.

Meanwhile on the Russian investigations front, three Congressional Committees are not only shaking and baking each other, but Special Prosecutor Mueller. These clashes, like most others in Congress, will end up deadlocked—especially if Democrats take control of Congress—or either the Senate or the House of Representatives. Not what political pundits or experts are predicting. But then again, they got Trump’s shake and bake strategy wrong during the election—in both the primary and presidential—and they are getting it wrong again. Just like he disrupted and blew up traditional political models, he is now disrupting and blowing up traditional congressional practices. A good reason for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel and Majority Speaker Paul Ryan to be fuming, while Senator Chuck Schumer and Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi are laughing. A Democratic win will definitely shake and bake Washington into a working bipartisan relationship between the Democrats and the White House.

Trump was propelled into the White House by Americans who wanted disruption and are delighted at what they are seeing. Political traditionalists have been shaken and baked to their core by Trumpism. So much so, that Republicans are scrambling to repeal and replace Obamacare, without bipartisan hearings, to please Trump who is upset at their failure to do so with their current congressional majorities — after repeatedly promising to do so. Whether they succeed or not remains to be seen. But either way Republicans lose the support of most Americans who just want to see Obamacare fixed without repealing it.

Trump’s shake and bake strategy ensures that no matter which party wins the disruptive midterm election, Trump will be the ultimate beneficiary.
