We Can and Must Overcome Racism

Racism is not limited to America. It is global. I have experienced it first-hand in every country I have lived and visited. I experience it daily in Hong Kong and China where I spend most of my time these days and also see it as I watch it play out on the different news channels broadcast from Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Watching America’s reaction to Rosanne’s racist tweet on the same day that Starbucks closed its stores to hold anti-bias training in the wake of its own racial profiling scandal, I couldn’t help think about how far ahead of other countries America is when it comes to tackling racism — on the football field — and elsewhere across the country.

Valerie Jarrett, the target of Rosanne’s racist rant said it best: “I think we have to turn it into a teaching moment.”

Racism is a topic I have addressed in depth in my books and blogs starting with the introduction to my first book Custom Maid Spin for New World Disorder published in 2004.

               “Cherry Garcia White Patched Butterfly
Immigration, the Information Age and netizens have magnified
America’s institutional shortcomings and multi-ethnic makeup.
They cross-pollinated with the cultural misperceptions that have
become ingrained in America’s everlasting New World Order.
Conceptualized by the Pilgrims, memorialized by the Founding
Fathers, America since has failed to come to terms with its
continuously changing cultural, economic and religious fabric.
Mythology replaced reality. Spirituality has failed to keep up with
technology. Debt has consumed equity. America has undergone a
tremendous transformation since the Pilgrims landed. America has
changed from vanilla WASP to Cherry Garcia white patched butterfly,
with butterfly ballots. Or is it a multicultural scoop of Ooey Gooey
cake? Apple pie America is a racial blender of caramelized apple.
Rich, heavy and lite.”

I went on to say in the body of the text:

“The United States is anything but united. It is One Country with
Several Cultures. A country split asunder by cultural divides. A new
contemporary civil war is looming on the horizon because of the
racial and cultural divides fueled by the ongoing feuds in
Washington.”

Mr. President, the time to bridge the racial gap in America is long overdue. Like your fan Nixon who did a U-turn on China, you can do a Trump on Race.

I know many of your supporters are racist, but most, myself included, are not. I meet them regularly, discuss and debate the subject whenever I am back in the U.S. and my home in Arizona.

Mr. President, please, in no uncertain terms, condemn racism.

Mr. President, as you well know, your supporters will support you no matter what you say or do. Time to broaden your base.

Mr. President, time to unite the divide, not only on the Korean Peninsula, but racist America and the racist world. America can and must take the lead.

Mr. President, the cultural war confronting America today is just as important — actually more important — than the nuclear war America is addressing with Korea.

Mr. President, the global racial discord and bigotry has to be overcome in America First.

Mr. President, you must lead the charge over the racial divide as Healer-In-Chief!
